Swiss PGDay 2025: Announcement and CfS

Wir freuen uns, den Swiss PGDay 2025 anzukündigen!

Er wird am **26. und 27. Juni 2025** an der OST Ostschweizer Fachhochschule auf
dem Campus in **Rapperswil (SG)** stattfinden. Es wird zwei Tracks mit Vorträgen
auf Deutsch oder Englisch geben. Am Abend des ersten Tages wird ein Social Event
stattfinden, um den Teilnehmenden Gelegenheit zum Austausch und Netzwerken zu
geben.

Vorträge[1] können bis zum **7. April** eingereicht werden. Wir planen, das
Programm bis Ende April fertig zu haben.

Eine Session mit Lightning Talks wird stattfinden, für die Vorträge während der
Konferenz angemeldet werden können.

Postervorschläge können bis _2. Juni_ eingereicht werden. Poster werden im
Ausstellungsbereich gezeigt und können optional zusätzlich während der Lightning
Talks vorgestellt werden.

Unternehmen können die einmalige Gelegenheit nutzen, sich mit der Schweizer
PostgreSQL-Community zu vernetzen, indem sie die Veranstaltung sponsern. Weitere
Details gibt es unter **Call for Sponsors**[2].

Teilnehmende können sich ab Anfang März zur Konferenz anmelden.

Neuigkeiten zum Swiss PGDay sind auf unserer Website[3] und via Mastodon[4]
erhältlich.

We are pleased to announce the **Swiss PGDay 2025**, which will take place on
**Thursday, 26 June and Friday, 27 June 2025** at the OST Eastern Switzerland
University of Applied Sciences, Campus **Rapperswil (near Zurich)**.

The conference will last two days with two tracks. Presentations will be mainly
in English, but also in German (and there will be at least one presentation in
English in each time slot).

A social event will be organized at the end of the first day of the conference
to encourage networking in the community.

The **call for speakers**[1] is open until **7 April 2025**. We expect the schedule
to be available by the end of April 2025.

There will be a lightning talk session. Lightning talks will be registered
during the conference.

You can also submit a poster description until _2 June 2025_. The posters will
be shown in the exhibition area. Poster submitters are encouraged to present in
a lightning talk session as well.

Companies can take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with the
Swiss PostgreSQL community by sponsoring the event. See the **Call for
