Following up on my question from last week: there are still two
CommitFest entries on this thread. 5863 is
Ready for Committer, and reading the thread it looks like it already
covers the NegotiateProtocolVersion correction that 5783 made.

If I don't hear otherwise before this CommitFest closes on
September 30, I'll close 5783 as superseded by 5863. If that's wrong,
just say so and I'll leave it open.
