For the heck of it, I went and wedged this file into the source base, and
got this:

3 of 94 tests failed.
=======================

The 7 tests which failed due to timestamp now pass, leaving the three
failures listed in the original post. I don't know about you, but I'm sure
set on option (c) now :-)
