Hi PostgreSQL Translation Team,

I hope you're doing well. I'm reaching out because I recently reviewed the Japanese translation files (ja.po) on the REL_17_STABLE branch and noticed a few inconsistencies that may need attention.

These issues were originally identified by Yadav, Siddharth, and I confirmed them by comparing the translation entries with the current OSS source code.

Here’s a quick summary:

1. An added message appears in src/bin/psql/po/ja.po, but the corresponding English msgid does not exist in the source code.
2. A message marked as deleted in the translation update commit is still present in the OSS source code.
3. A modified translation entry uses a different format than the English source message, which has not been updated.

If helpful, I can provide the exact file paths and msgids involved. I’ve also heard there may be additional similar issues, so a broader consistency check might be worthwhile.

Thanks so much for your time and for all the work you do maintaining these translations.

Best regards,
Jillian
