From what I can see, it doesn't appear to be right-justified. Rather,
it's left-aligned with indentation. I suspect that message is simply
quite deep in the thread.
On my system, clicking that list expands it to show the parent/child
relationships between the messages, including the parts that are
initially hidden beyond the right edge of the box. Given that, I think
omitting the indentation only when the thread is collapsed would
probably require a bit of extra work.
