No any  message , because of  session of pg-dump can not return to
command-line ! It is hang up !
But there is  a message only   when run in Server of data sender :
      "pg_dump   -h localhostVer8.4.3    db   | psql -h RemoteHost_Ver8.4.3 db "
This messages is " could not receive data from client : connection be
reset by remote !"

database and user?

pg_hba.conf is all ok  that  Server updated from
8.0->8.1->8.2->8.3->8.4.2  to 8.4.3!
