Job Title: Field Consultant
Location: California or Northeast (MA, PA, NY, NJ)
Travel Required: Up to 75%. Initial training will take place in Foster
City.

Truviso is a continuous analytics startup headquartered in Foster City,
California. We develop analytics solutions for net-centric customers,
including a database engine that extends PostgreSQL with proprietary

The Field Consultant role at Truviso serves a combined pre-sales services
and post-sales implementation services role within Truviso's Professional
Services Organization (TPSO).

Summary of Expected Qualifications:
* Minimum of a BS in Computer Science or MIS.
* 7+ years software industry experience including significant BI or CEP or DW experience
* 3+ years experience in Technical Sales role or equivalent
* 5 years leading POC and/or custom solution development for customers
* Strong hands-on technical leadership and project management skills
* Excellent communication, facilitation and team-building skills
* Experienced with implementation / deployment of database-centric J2EE applications
* Advanced proficiency in SQL and in at least one scripting language (e.g., Groovy, Python, Ruby, Perl etc.)
* Experience with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS (DDL, SQL, installation/configuration)
* Proficiency in any UNIX platform (Linux preferred)
* Strong foundation in JavaScript, XML
* Experience with rich internet application frameworks such as Flex is a plus

This high-visibility, customer-facing role includes responsibilities, as
part of the Truviso Sales team, to provide technical product presentations
to customers and prospects, lead fact-finding and architecture
discussions, develop and present demos and proofs-of-concept (POCs), and
develop services proposals. Must have the ability to work in a variety of
client environments, understand their unique business requirements and
help shape technical solutions. The focus is on helping to close new
business and drive additional business from existing customers as a
trusted advisor.

Post-sales responsibilities include managing customer implementation,
training, and custom solution design/development--providing exceptional
customer satisfaction while delivering high quality projects on-time and
under-budget. TPSO leadership responsibilities include defining customer
engagement best practice processes, content, and training, as well as
helping develop and manage project teams of TPSO Consultants.

The candidate should have a proven track record of at least five years in
customer-facing technical sales roles and/or field services roles in the
professional services organization of an enterprise software company
and/or in a national consultancy, preferably related to business
intelligence (BI) and/or complex event processing (CEP) and/or data
integration solutions. The candidate should have at least five years of
project and people management experience and the proven ability to
independently plan and deliver a POC and/or custom engagement based on
customer business requirements.
