RE: (repost) using null value timestamps

i think thats a java thing - try:

PreparedStatement pstmt =
con.prepareStatement("UPDATE sometable SET date = ?");
pstmt.setNull(1, 1);
int rows = pstmt.executeUpdate();

does that help?
