Our client, a medium-sized, leading software company located in Markham has an opening for a two month contract with possibility of extension. Or, if you're a senior PostgreSQL expert looking for a permanent development lead role our client will consider this option too.

Their current products are based on Microsoft/Oracle platforms (.net and Oracle DB). However, they're looking to port to their existing products onto PostgreSQL (Postgres) Open Source platform. Therefore, they are looking for someone who is confident in their PostgreSQL/Postgres skills as well as their .net and Oracle DB skills to install PostgreSQL/Postgres, run script conversions and port the application. Once this is complete then fine-tuning, optimizing refining, problem-solving and configuration will take up the balance of the time.

Job Summary and Essential Functions
Location is Hwy #7 & Woodbine - Markham
Languages: .net / C# (Windows services)
Microsoft .Net platform, Microsoft suite
Database: development on Oracle
PostgreSQL / Postgres Implementations.
