Good afternoon!
1) I've just intalled the recent version of postgresql 8.0 under XP Home
Edition plataform, using the "windows installer package"
2) After installation I noticed that directory "data" is missing, i.e., I
could not locate directory "C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.0\data\", despite
it's shown on the installer.
3) Considering that every single command, such as "Start Database"
("C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.0\bin\pg_ctl.exe" start -D "C:\Program
Files\PostgreSQL\8.0\data\") is pointing out to this directory, I believe
that I missed something during the installation process.
4) So, I decided to remove the postgreSQL and try another installation, but
without success, because the problem still persists.
5) What am I doing wrong?
Kind regards
Paulo Zimolo
