In addition to that it's worth referring to the FAQ at
www.sunfreeware.com too. It covers pretty much all
the little hurdles you will probably have to jump over
to compile stuff on Solaris. There's nothing too hard
about it though, just setting up the right paths and
making sure you have all the necessary packages
installed.
