DBA/Developer

RealPage, Inc is currently seeking a DBA/Developer to join our
Development Team.

JOB SUMMARY

The database administrator is responsible for the design, development
and optimization of databases which will support the products and
services developed by the Product Development Team. Optimization of
existing and development of new SQL queries and functions. The database
administrator will work with the Product Development VP in the planning,
design, development, testing and deploying database projects. Support
the Development Staff to ensure that the programmers' activities are in
line with the goals of the projects. YieldStar places a strong emphasis
on client service, so the Database Administrator/Programmer, while not a
frontline customer contact, will interact with customers to ensure that
their requirements are met in the most efficient manner.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Query design and optimization

* Data analysis

* Database schema design

* Database administration
* Provide customer service as needed, responding to requests by
clients both internal and external
* Track work flow, ensure that database projects are on target for
completion time lines
* Provide input in the planning and design process.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree
* SQL query/function design
* 2+ years PostgreSQL experience
* 4+ years development/database experience
* MS SQL Server knowledge is a bonus
* Java experience is a bonus
* Comfortable with strict deadlines
* Works well in a team setting
* Can multitask, adapt to shifting priorities
* Detail oriented
