Looking for Contracted Part Time PostgreSQL Expert - 100% Remote

# Job Description:StoreConnect (https://getstoreconnect.com) are looking
for a senior PostgreSQL contractor to help one of our team members improve
the performance and reliability of our database triggers and process as
well as improve our PostgreSQL related automated tests and
pipeline.StoreConnect
is an eCommerce system built on top of Salesforce, we synchronise changes
from Salesforce into and from individual and multi tenanted PostgreSQL
databases for our public facing eCommerce application to read and write
to. This process relies heavily on PostgreSQL triggers to ensure that the
right records are updated and that dependent records and views are
updated. We also plan to use tooling such as pg_notify to trigger events
within the public facing website to trigger pre-caching of important views
and content.Our team is very familiar with PostgreSQL, but we are hitting
the limits of our internal knowledge, and we would like an expert to come
in and pair with our lead developer on this project to identify and fix
performance issues and provide knowledge transfer to improve our internal
teams skills.We are currently using PostgreSQL version 15.3.# Required
Skills:You need to be the expert on all things PostgreSQL for us. Deep
knowledge in triggers, materialised views, pg_notify and the like are core
to what we are looking for. You also need to be the sort of person that
loves sharing your knowledge and working with an existing developer to get
them up to speed.# Optional Skills:If you know or have worked with Ruby on
Rails, Salesforce at a database level or Heroku Connect, that is definitely
a bonus, but really not required.# Location:You can work from anywhere you
want and be flexible with hours, with as little as 2-3 per day if needed.
The developers you will be working with are in GMT+8 and GMT+10. Excellent
spoken English is a must to ensure smooth operation.# Term:Initially this
will be a short project to improve the performance of the existing triggers
(perhaps 4-6 weeks) and see where we can improve further for future work.
But there is the potential for this to become a longer term or regular
engagement. We can start on this as soon as you are ready.# Compensation:Price
will be dependant on seniority, but we are budgeting a $5-6k per week as a
