Hi,

I'm going to be hosting a panel discussion at PGConf.Dev 206 with
panelists Andres Freund, Heikki Linnakangas, and Tom Lane. The way the
discussion will work is that I'll be throwing out some different patch
ideas which they will not have seen in advance, and I will be asking
them (1) whether it's a good idea and (2) even if it's not, how would
they go about implementing it if it were absolutely necessary to do
so? The purpose of this email is to solicit feature ideas to ask them
about. I welcome both serious submissions (i.e. you really want to
know whether it's a good idea) and silly ones (you want to troll the
panelists a little bit) as long as they're something that will provoke
a fun and interesting discussion.

Session details are here: https://2026.pgconf.dev/session/512

Google form to submit your ideas is here: https://forms.gle/hpzjYdMdvtJDsPkz5

All submissions, whether accepted or not, are appreciated, and I look
forward to seeing you at PGConf.Dev 2026! [1]

Thanks,
