Manpower Professional has a client in the Raleigh area in need of a
Software Engineer to focus on client server development in C and C++.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description:

Seeking a highly motivated individual for system development work, with
a focus on client server development in C and C++. Additional duties
include developing and maintaining custom reporting capabilities for a
wide range of clients. Candidate should possess strong SQL skills and a
proficiency in at least one of the following databases: Oracle, SQL
Server or Sybase. Candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in
computer science and have at least two years professional experience.
Individual will work in a small team and must possess good verbal and
written skills. Individual must have ability to solve complex problems,
and have experience debugging problems in software. The position
requires maintenance of existing complex systems, as well as innovative
problem solving and design skills for evolving feature sets.

* C/C++
* OO Analysis and development skills
* SQL (ODBC is beneficial)
* Oracle, SQL Server or Sybase
* Postgres is a plus
* UNIX development skills (e.g. gmake)
* HTML / JavaScript
* HTTP Protocol
* Web server development (e.g. Apache or IIS)
* Solaris
* Linux
* Windows
