Who: Michael Ewan and Arjun Nath
What: OSS Business Intelligence and Metrics

Michael and Arjun are doing performance data collection, storage and
reporting for the High Performance Computing environment for Tapeout
at Intel. They collect usage stats from batch jobs running on
approximately 46,000 CPU's every 15 minutes. They will be giving a
status update on their work in using PostgreSQL for data warehouse and
Business Intelligence reporting.

Michael Ewan has been doing UNIX and Linux systems administration for
over 27 years, and has been with Intel for about 11 years. He is
currently the lead for the HPC Indicators application development
team. Michael is working on his Masters degree in Information Systems
Management, and is adjunct faculty at PCC.

Arjun Nath has a background in electronics and computer science, holds
a Masters degree in CSEE from PennState. Arjun has been with Intel for
2 years on the HPC Indicators team. Before that he worked as a
programmer analyst with a software services giant in Australia for
about 4 years (prior to grad school) mainly doing server side java.
