hi

I try to install postgresql in my system, but i can't do the regress test in the
chapter 5 of the PostgreSQL Administrator's guide alina 22.

"cd /usr/src/pgsql/src/test/regress
$ gmake clean
$ gmake all runtest"

for the gmake instructions I have the following message :
"GNUmakefile:15: ../..//Makefile.global: no such file or directory
gmake: *** No rule to make target '../../makefile.global'. Stop.

I use red hat 6.0 and it is the postgresql-XXX-6.5.2-1.i386.rpm
I have the postgresql-6.5.2
--------------sql-devel-6.5.2
-----------------jdbc-6.5.2
------------------server-6.5.2
------------------test-6.5.2

What is the problem ?

If my question is stupid, I beg your pardon but I'm a newbie in linux...

Thanks
