Logged in as 'root' user do the following:

ln -s /usr/lib/libreadline.so.4 /usr/lib/libreadline.so5

And then continue with the installation....

it is
ibreadline.so.4 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libreadline.so.4

next when i tried installing: postgresql-8.2.0-2PGDG.i686.rpm
it gave me this error:

error: Failed dependencies:
libreadline.so.5 is needed by postgresql-8.2.0-2PGDG

please tell me what to do
