I love the psql client, and especially the \x extended display.
I find that I'm forever turning it off so I get the output I like for
the \d (describe table) psql internal command, and then turning it
back on again for SQL display.

Are there any nice tricks so I can get extended display for
everything *except* the \d command?

Regards,
Stuart.
