Topic: Performance and Benchmarking with Mark
Who: Mark Wong, OSDL
When: TOMORROW - Tuesday, November 21, 2006 - 7pm
Where: FreeGeek, 1731 SE 10th Ave

Mark works for the Open Source Development Labs (www.osdl.org) and
does database systems performance testing using a fair-use
implementation of the TPC benchmarks. What are TPC benchmarks? Have
a look: http://www.tpc.org/

Mark is planning on talking about what he does on a day-to-day
basis. And, of course, fielding questions. He currently works
primarily with PostgreSQL, and occasionally with MySQL.

Beer at the Lucky Lab after!

There will be brownies in the spirit of Thanksgiving week.

Also - for those who haven't heard, Free Geek was broken into on
Saturday. If you are looking for a worthy organization to donate
money to, now would be a great time to donate to Free Geek. They
lost about $4500 in hardware and several doors were damaged that they
need money to repair. More details at:
