I just want to have a simple comment on performance:
Clustering is good for a situation that you have many clients.
As far as performance, I had a computer of two CPU, and I am the only
user of this computer that hosts postgres,
It has the intel hyperthreading turned on by defaul. The performance
gain is about 50% to nearly 2x after
turnning off the hyperthreading. This more dramatic for operations
needing a lots of CPU.

I would guess that if I have a lots of clients doing select * from table
limit 10. the hyper threading would
help.
