please double- and triplecheck if you're really compiling and linking
against wxGTK 2.5. This bad metrics behaviour has only been observed
with 2.4, but never with 2.5. If you look at pgAdmin Makefile, LIBS will
reference the wx library.
BTW, I'm running 1152*864.
