Mammoth PostgreSQL from Command Prompt, Inc. is a robust, reliable,
SQL-compatible Object Relational Database Management System (ORDBMS). It is
designed to give small to medium size businesses the power, performance, and
open-standard support they desire.

100% compatible with the PostgreSQL 7.3.2 release, Mammoth PostgreSQL
provides a commercially-supported and optimized PostgreSQL distribution for
Win32, MacOSX and Red Hat Linux x86 platforms.

Mammoth PostgreSQL ships with built-in support for SSL connectivity (C/C++,
ODBC and JDBC), as well as programming APIs for C/C++, PHP, Perl, Java and
Python. The Deluxe version of Mammoth ships with S/ODBC and S/JDBC which
support not only SSL connectivity to the database, but compressed
connectivity for low bandwidth connections.

New features covering the standard an deluxe versions of Mammoth PostgreSQL:

Schemas/Namespaces:
Schemas allow users to create objects in separate namespaces, so two people
or applications can have tables with the same name. There is also a public
schema for shared tables.

Drop Column:
PostgreSQL now supports the ALTER TABLE ... DROP COLUMN functionality.

Table Functions:
Functions returning multiple rows and/or multiple columns are now much
easier
to use. Users can call a "table function" in the SELECT FROM
clause, treating its output like a table. PL/pgSQL functions can now
return sets as well.

Prepared Queries:
PostgreSQL now supports prepared queries, for improved performance.

Dependency Tracking:
PostgreSQL now records object dependencies, which allows improvements in
many
areas. DROP statements now take either CASCADE or RESTRICT to control
whether
dependent objects are also removed.

Privileges:
Functions and procedural languages now have privileges, and functions
can be
defined to run with the privileges of their creator.

Logging:
A variety of logging options have been enhanced.

SSL:
Better support for SSL based connectivity for encrypted sessions between
the client
and server.

Compression:
Support for compressed connection streams and compressed encrypted
connections
streams for efficient connectivity between lower bandwidth clients or
highly
congested networks.

Universal Administrator (pgManage):
Mammoth PostgreSQL ships with a uniform Java based database
administrator capable
of managing multiple servers at a time.

Features specific to Mammoth PostgreSQL Deluxe:

1 year free updates
S/ODBC driver for encrypted and or compressed ODBC based connectivity
(Linux and
Win32 only)
S/JDBC driver for encrypted and or compressed JDBC based connectivity (all
platforms).

Command Prompt, Inc., provides support, custom programming, and services for
PostgreSQL. Service contracts, as well as time and materials support are
available, allowing for single-point accountability for a customer's
database solution. Command Prompt, Inc. is also the author of the popular
O'Reilly book, Practical PostgreSQL.

There are one-time and subscription-based licensing models available for
immediate purchase.
