Hi,

I just installed PostgreSQL v6.5.3 under both Solaris 2.7/Sparc (32bit)
and Solaris 2.7/x86. And made the one on Solaris7/x86 as database
server and other 5 copies on Sparc as client. We may use it for
teaching database in our department.

The details:

1.
------------------------------------------------------------------
o The version of Postgres (v6.5.3, 6.5, beta 990318, etc.).

v6.5.3

o Your operating system (i.e. RedHat v5.1 Linux v2.0.34).

Solaris 2.7 (aka Solaris 7) / Sparc

o Your hardware (SPARC, i486, etc.).

Sun SparcServer 10 (dual 150MHz CPU)

o Did you compile, install and run the regression tests cleanly? If
not, what source code did you change (i.e. patches you applied,
changes you made, etc.), what tests failed, etc. It is normal to
get many warning when you compile. You do not need to report
these.

Compile and install are OK. Errors from the regression tests
are caused by different system error message (int2 & int4) or
timezone (abstime, tinterval & horology, PST via PDT) or the
precision of float (geometry).
