Postgresql odbc coulumn bytea problem

Hi i hace a apps in visual basic. it connect to postgresql via odbc driver
7.03.02.00.

the connection string its

strCn =

well i create a table:

CREATE TABLE "public"."crypto" (
"campo1" BYTEA
) WITH OIDS;

and insert the data:

stsql = " insert into crypto(campo1) values (
encrypt('prueba', 'fooz', 'bf'))"

and its ok

but when do:
stSQL = "select decrypt(campo1, 'fooz', 'bf') as valor From crypto"

the result return this: ??

please any idea thank
