We'd like to announce the release of Postgres.app 2.0,
the easiest way to run PostgreSQL on a Mac.

== What is Postgres.app? ==

Postgres.app is a full featured PostgreSQL installation
distributed as a standard Mac application package.
You install it simply by moving it to your Applications folder.

Besides PostgreSQL itself, it also includes PostGIS and plv8.

== What's new in version 2.0 ? ==

-- Automatic Updates --
Postgres.app 2.0 now automatically checks for updates,
and lets you download & install bugfix updates with a single
click. This makes it easier than ever to keep your local
development environment up to date.

-- Multiple Servers --
You can now start multiple servers simultaneously, even
with different versions of PostgreSQL. This is especially
useful for when you want to make sure that you have the
same environment in development & production for multiple
projects.

-- All new UI --
We've completely redesigned the user interface to make it
easier to use. There's a convenient menu bar item for
starting and stopping servers, and we've made sure that
all error messages are clear and give actionable advise.

== More Information ==

Postgres.app 2.0 includes two versions of PostgreSQL:
- PostgreSQL 9.6.1, with PostGIS 2.3.1
- PostgreSQL 9.5.5 with PostGIS 2.2.4
