Hello,
the European PostgreSQL User Group sends a request for a stand at FOSDEM
2008:
- Projekt name:
PostgreSQL
- URL of the website of the project:
- Description of the project:
PostgreSQL is a highly scalable, SQL compliant, open source
object-relational database management system.
- Name of stand responsible and your role in the project:
Andreas Scherbaum
Member of the German PostgreSQL User Group
Member of the European PostgreSQL User Group
- A short description of the activities:
Promote the new PostgreSQl 8.3
Spread flyers and info material
Chat with PostgreSQL users
Collect testimony and user experience
- Motivation for a second table:
Based on last years experience we had up to 6 people behind our "small"
stand, talking with visitors, showing examples on different laptops and
giving away flyers. We often had to move away from our one table for a
chat because it was not even enough space to talk with half of the
people visiting the stand not naming the people who was just looking for
flyers/informations.
- Additional:
If possible, please place this stand near the FreeBSD stand.
Kind regards
--
