I agree with that choice of Vienna (really I don't care where the next conf
will be exactly), just be sure there is no (big) events on the sames
days/weeks (AFAIS there were some conferences in July in Vienna in the past).

More than one day, sure !!! pgdays/pgweek/pg.... don't mind too !
BUT pgcon : not sure it is a great choice for french ( it is something like
pgidiot )

European + Local events sounds good (well, I think there will be a 'mix' of
local and european event when it is in the same country ?)
--> +1 Eruopean event plus Local event
