That was the error I got if I tried to run the install from within a zip program.

To my knowledge it does not to be in a specific directory.

Are you running them on a network drive instead of the destination pc drive?

The default installs under C:\Program Files. It creates a folder postgresql.

It also puts a few dlls under the System32 folder.

I believe some people have mentioned difficulty running the install when doing it through a Terminal Server connection. They ended up having to access the pc directly to install it.

Your security level must also allow you to create a local user account.

I installed it on the same platform that you are running.
