It is not clear how much space does the
number 6 take on disk if it is a NUMERIC(1000,0)?
It is writen that the size on disk of NUMERIC is
variable, but this can be because NUMERIC(500,0)
will take less space then NUMERIC(1000,0). On the
other hand it may be that NUMERIC behaves like VARCHAR
and changes its disk space requirement acourding to
the number it currently store.
Please clarify this mater.
