Es beta.
El software beta es para pruebas. No para produccion. Antes de que
salga la version 8.0 final se pueden detectar y corregir muchos bugs.
Puedes revisar los archivos de la lista pgsql-bugs para ver un ejemplo
de la amplia gama de bugs que aun hay en las versiones beta actuales, y
que se espera corregir antes de la version final.
Esto no corre solo para Postgres ...
