Sander Steffann, who has done so well with previous RPM releases, is going to
be unable to help with this twin release of 7.3.6 and 7.4.2. So I am asking
for help. Replies to the PORTs list (HACKERS has been blind-copied on the
initial request, but the discussion belongs in PORTs).

I need people who can build on:
Red Hat Linux 6.2
Red Hat Linux 7.3
Red Hat Linux 8.0
Red Hat Linux 9 (although the RHEL3-compatible pakages I build should install
OK on an RHL9 system)
Red Hat Advanced Server 2.1

I have and can build on Fedora Core 1 and WhiteBox Enterprise Linux 3 (RHEL3
compatible) and Aurora SPARCLinux 1.0 (Red Hat 7.3 for SPARC, which is how I
test the 7.3 rebuild capability).

You need to already be capable of rebuilding RPMs for source RPM; I want
someone experienced in the process to do this. You should also be conversant
enough with spec files to know how to find the conditional build defines I
use for the different distribution versions.

Source RPMs for 7.3.6 and 7.4.2 are already on the ftp.postgresql.org server;
as I am looking for someone experienced, you should be able to find them
yourself. :-) Those who are interested reply in the PORTs list and we'll go
from there.
