Normally you speak about Solaris 2.5, 2.6, 7, 8 and 9.
Which are also known as SunOS 5.5, 5.6, 5.7, 5.8 and 5.9.

Either number will probably.

PS: My 2.6/5.6 was on x86 hardware, not on a sparc.
