I just verified that the current snapshot:
ftp://ftp.postgresql.org/pub/dev/postgresql-snapshot.tar.gz
with a time stamp of:
Fri Dec 29 09:03:00 2000
has this problem corrected.
Unfortunately, I found some more Cygwin build issues. I guess that it
is time to make another patch...
