I try to translate a database to postgresql from oracle. there is the function "SOUNDEX" that i didn't find in Postgresql.
For example soundex("jule") will give J240.
soundex("salopio") will give S326.
i am not sure of the result, but this example will give you an idea of this function. Did you know an similar function in postgresql? Thanks. christine.
