Can not connect to postgresql database

Hi, all

I run postgre in solaris 2.7. it can be compiled and installed. however when
I try to enter data to the database from my AOL web server, I receive
following error message:
pq_recvbuf: unexpected EOF on client connection

what is the my problem?
