I installed postgres on Solaris.

Solaris 2.6 on Sun Ultrasparc

Postgres 6.4.2

I had to install gmake (GNU Make), flex, and bison (all downloaded from
ftp.gnu.org). I configured as:

./configure --prefix=/opt/postgres --with-odbc --without-CXX

The regression tests mostly passed except:

strings .. failed
geometry .. failed
abstime .. failed
tinterval .. failed
horology .. failed
constraints .. failed
errors .. failed

I don't know if I should be worried about most of these, but constraints failing
doesn't sound good. Can anyone give me some pointers here?

Thanks to everyone who wrote in with their successes. It was my main source of
assistance when the going got tough.
