COPY gets slower and slower and slower and....

Hello Peoples,

I found this post in the archives back in 10/98.

I'm experiencing the same problem!

Trying to copy approximately 500 megs (3.8 million records).

Has anyone found a fix?

Using Postgresql-v6.4.2, Linux 2.0.36 (Caldera OpenLinux).
256M RAM, (2) 9 gig UWSCSI HDS, Pentium II 400.
