I agree with your conclusion that PostgreSQL would be superior for this
type of application, though Berkeley DB has its uses for simple embedded
applications that don't need any end-user access to the data.

Basically, let them download 6.3.2 and try it. Not much more we can do
if they don't want to download it. If they want to send specific
questions to the list, I am sure they will be answered.
