Hi,
do you need an fs-backup or only dumps? You can Backup with Dumps and
archived WAL's by using pg_dump + pg_start/stop_backuo().
If you need a fs-backup, maybe xfs_freeze with syncing the
complete database (including WAL's) is a solution.
