Renesys Corporation - Immediate Opening for Software Engineer (Data Tier)

The majority of Renesys employees are software engineers. They are
responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining our interactive
Internet applications. Engineers work in small teams to enhance our existing
products and develop completely new ones, providing real-time intuitive
access to a vast data repository that is focused on the structure and status
of the global Internet. Our business continues to grow and we have positions
available in all of the following categories. But regardless of the
particular skills you currently have, we value intelligence, creativity,
teamwork and the ability to produce high quality code in a timely manner
above all else.

Requirements:
.A degree holder in Computer Science, Applied Math or a related field.
.Very familiar with Postgre SQL, Linux and open source technologies.
.Skilled in at least one of Python or Perl.
.Experience in processing large data sets.
.Experience in writing to existing APIs, including web services.
.Experience in modeling complex data.
.Exposure to automated data analysis and data mining.
.Eligibility to work in the US.

Pluses:
.At least 5 years of software development experience.
.Experience with Hadoop, custom indexing solutions, network programming and
systems integration.
.Experience analyzing data for anomalies, recurrences and other patterns.
.Operational experience and system diagnostic capability.
.Familiarity working with extremely large, complex datasets.
.Depth of expertise in a single area, class of technology or data.
.A good understanding of performance issues in a distributed Linux computing
environment.
.Related contributions to open source projects.
.Familiarity with networking technologies and concepts: TCP, IP Routing
(BGP), DNS
