Hi all,

I'm looking to run some benchmarks of PostgreSQL on some of the Linux systems
here. They're running PostgreSQL 7.0.3, and I've compiled and installed
PostgreSQL 7.1RC4 on one as well.

Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to do benchmarks (even of a
limited scale) on these systems, so I can at least determine what the optimum
buffer sizes are, etc?

As an aside, did anyone ever step up to create a TPC-C benchmark suite for
PostgreSQL?

If no-one else has, I will start to.

Regards and best wishes,

Justin Clift
