sort mem size

Does any one have a good idea of what the sort memory is best set at. I
have read Bruce suggestions but they are vague and just say make it
bigger till you don’t have page ins. I wonder if there is someone who
knows what a good setting is for a Db with tables that are over 700 MB
and total DB size of 6GB + ? The Machine has 2Gb ram with a shrmax
setting of 1800000000 about 1.6 gb
