24th September 2020: PostgreSQL 13 Released!

The original postgres live-cd

Posted on 2008-12-15

Hello all,

I'd like to announce that I've updated http://pg-live.info . The DOWNLOAD page has the most recent version, The website is not the most impressive looking but it's functional.

For the first time, new variants to pg-live are being introduced i.e. an embedded version (no gui) and a USB-key version.

Pg-liveE (embedded) is 100mb smaller but uses half the RAM as the original pg-live.

Pg-livePEN boots up very fast compared to the original live-cd version.

One final note; I've begun work on two additional variants of pg-live, which will hopefully be worthy of interest to the community at large. Please take a moment and check out the PROJECTS link:

I welcome any and all comments that you may have.
