Crunchy Data Learning Portal for PostgreSQL & PostGIS Now Available!

Crunchy Data is pleased to announce the general availability of its open source Learning Portal for PostgreSQL and PostGIS, which provides modern, focused tutorials for system administrators, DBAs, and developers in an interactive environment.

These tutorials leverage the Katacoda learning platform to create self-driven interactive learning modules focused on PostgreSQL administration and PostgreSQL developer topics, including basic PostgreSQL administration, backup and restore with pgBackRest, JSON data types, and a deep dive into PostGIS.

Each tutorial is approximately 20 minutes in length, providing an easily accessible training exercise related to a specific PostgreSQL subject, including:

• PostgreSQL Administration. The PostgreSQL Administration module provides a self-driven tutorial on PostgreSQL administration basics and an introduction to PostgreSQL features.
• PostgreSQL for Application Developers. The PostgreSQL for Application Developers module provides a self driven tutorial on both introductory and advanced topics of interest to developers building applications with PostgreSQL.
• PostGIS. The PostGIS module provides a quick introduction to PostGIS, as well as a deeper dive into more advanced topics such as geometries, geography and spatial relationships.

The tutorials themselves are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 4.0 license. The team behind the Learning Portal welcomes feedback. If you have questions or comments, please feel free to create a GitHub issue within the project.
