Npgsql adopted into the Mono Class Library

Posted on 2003-01-29

The Npgsql Development Team is proud to announce that Npgsql (the .NET Data Provider for PostgreSQL) stable sources are now part of the Mono Class Library cvs codebase. This code can be found in the Mono cvs: http://cvs.hispalinux.es/cgi-bin/cvsweb/?hidenonreadable=1&f=u&logsort=date&sortby=file&hideattic=1&cvsroot=Mono

in the mcs/class/Npgsql folder.

Development will continue to occur at gborg and with each release of Mono or Npgsql the Mono cvs code will be updated.

Thanks all the Mono team and Daniel Morgan who helped make this happen.

Further Information (taken from the Mono website at http://www.go-mono.org):

Ximian announced the launch of the Mono project, an effort to create an open source implementation of the .NET Development Framework.

Mono includes: a compiler for the C# language, a runtime for the Common Language Infrastructure (also referred as the CLR) and a set of class libraries. The runtime can be embedded into your application.

Mono has implementations of both ADO.NET and ASP.NET as part of its distribution.
