Postgres Open is a non–profit, community–run conference, taking place this year from September 17-19 in Chicago, Illinois, at the Westin Michigan Avenue hotel. Postgres Open includes regular talks, keynotes and tutorials.

The theme of this year's conference is "connecting business with database innovation". Topics will include new features in the latest version of PostgreSQL, use cases, product offerings and important announcements. Invited talks and presentations will cover many of the features added in recent versions of PostgreSQL. Vendors will also be announcing and demonstrating new products and services to enhance and extend PostgreSQL.

Postgres Open 2011's main program (September 18-19) will be preceded by a day of intensive tutorials. Visit postgresopen.org for announcements about the schedule or to register for the conference.
