Hello,
Attached v2. The only change from v1 is in the new gist regression test: two queries that print recomputed box distances now run under extra_float_digits = 0, as create_index_spgist.sql already does for its KNN output. macOS and Windows differed from Linux in the last digit of two of the 21 distances (0.5728001396647873 vs …874, 0.6099999999999997 vs …998) a libm / FMA variation in box_closept_point, not anything this patch does. The equality check that actually verifies the substituted values (same = total = 200) was already passing on every platform.
v2 applies cleanly to current master (85adc584e2b).
best.
