Hi,

I reviewed the proposed documentation patches and tested them locally.
The changes add historical protocol information to the protocol
version table, including the 'NegotiateProtocolVersion' message and
direct SSL negotiation support in PostgreSQL 17. They also remove the
separate “Summary of Changes since Protocol 2.0” section.
I checked the changes using 'git diff ' and ran 'git diff --check',
which reported no whitespace errors. I also built the HTML
documentation successfully using 'make -C doc html' after installing
the missing 'docbook-xsl' dependency.
Based on my testing, the documentation changes are present and the
HTML build completes successfully. I did not test any runtime
behavior, since these patches concern documentation.

Please let me know if any further testing or review is needed.

Regards,
solai
