hi-problem while installing postgressql 7.2 version

hi
while Creating a database cluster postgressql it just hangs. i'm using
these command on cygwin. i gave the command
./configure
make
make install
make install-all-headers
all above are sucessful. after that i set the environmental path in
profile. now i give initdb -D /usr/local/pgsql/data this command..

Fixing permissions on existing directory /usr/local/pgsql/data... ok
creating directory /usr/local/pgsql/data/base... ok
creating directory /usr/local/pgsql/data/global... ok
creating directory /usr/local/pgsql/data/pg_xlog... ok
creating directory /usr/local/pgsql/data/pg_clog... ok
creating template1 database in /usr/local/pgsql/data/base/1...

it just hangs here, now no move further.

can u help me please. thnx in advance.
